American Presidential Elections: Sex favors in return for business, job help

Update: Dec. 04, Cain's presidential campaign is effectively dead as support is dwindling for his candidacy. We think this is good for the Republican party and for the U.S. as a whole. We expect the leader of the most powerful single nation to be a man or woman of upright character.

Is the Republican presidential candidate Mr. Hermann Cain a sex-starved candidate?
This libelous conclusion may be formed by anyone following the campaign of Mr. Cain.
The latest juicy tidbits is cbsnews

Meanwhile the campaign manager of Mr. Cain warns a libel suits may be in order. See cbs news. On the other hand, the Cain people dismiss this kind of "close" friendship as between two consenting adults and Mr. Cain has personally denied wrongdoing after acknowledging knew the woman involved.

We dont want to write down what Mr. Cain has done to other women, but here is a link NY Daily news

The Republican Party should act quickly or respond appropriately if it does not want to lose the elections.

Pakistan-US tensions ratcheting up!

Pakistan and the United States are supposed to be allies, but events compounded by miscommunications or mistrust is increasing the degree of separation between the two with regards to battling remnants of the Taliban.

The news item Wall Street Journal: Afghans Say Pakistan Fired First in NATO Attack mentioned that 25 Pakistani soldiers died and 25 wounded when fighter jets and helicopter gunships pounded two military outpostts in Pakistan bordering Afghanistan. Some sources say that Pakistani forces fired first provoking a disproportionate response from US forces.

The US should not alienate further the military establishment in Pakistan. Even though suspicions are rife that the it gave refuge to Bin Laden in a military controlled area, it is still an ally. The solution is beyond military, this calls for more civilian cooperation as Pakistans [regligious] militancy is fearsomely growing. Soon the prospect of a nuclear powered Pakistan in Islamic control and unsympathetic to the US will be a specter taking on more solid reality.

President Arroyo as a criminal

We now have the spectacle of a once powerful president, a daughter of a past president, who has accomplished the following in her years of governing:

1. Participated actively in pursuing contracts with ZTE.
2. Had a secretary of agriculture transfer a lot of money to her presidential campaign.
3. Supported the politically savvy Ampatuan family and got 100% votes in their area of influence
4. Travelled around the world, costing the Republic more than a billion of pesos!
5. Prevented a logical family planning program because she is a good Catholic.
6. Selected a classmate of her husband to head the Ombudsman

We could add more, but let us pause at that. It is good that a court of Pasay has already issued a warrant of arrest for the former president and a current Pampanga congresswoman. It will be interesting to watch the Supreme Court which she packed with loyal justices "fight" with the Executive branch. It is not Pinoy's fault but hers that it came to this!

The clock is winding down for Bashar Assad of Syria

Update:
The United Nations has charged that Syria's ruling government forces has committed mass murder of more than 250 children, including one 12 year old so she would not grow into a demonstrator! Times of India

The Arab League, except for the client state of Lebanon and Iraq, has imposed economic sanctions on Syria. The move will add more pressures to the current Assad's leadership. For more details: Nov 27, WSJ:Arab League Overwhelmingly Imposes Sanctions on Syria

Bashar Assad, who inherited the mantle of the country's leadership from his strongman father Hafez Assad is in trouble!

The country's army is now rife with desertions and the continued harassment on the populace is building a wall of impending general uprising, which may topple him and his rule, which already happened to Mummar Qaddafi of Libya. Already the Arab League has suspended Syria! And much worse, fellow Arab countries like Libya, Tunisia and Turkey has derecognized his regime.

Israel, its "enemy" may not like this, since the future is so unpredictable. Who knows Assad may be replaced by a more militant adventurous leader, who wants to erase the shame of losing the Golan Heights in two major wars with Israel, and to retaliate against the bombing by the IAF of a reactor Operation Orchard.

We prefer that a stable Syria contributes to the relative calm in the Middle East, a powder keg about to blow up anytime with intrasigent non-arab Iran waiting and watching.

Iran, fooling the world about its secret nuclear weapons program??!!

I would not be surprised if Iran explode a nuclear device sometime in the future. Already there are intelligence reports that Iran received key assistance from a Soviet scientist for developing fast multiple detonators which will compress fissile material to start an uncontrolled nuclear chain reaction, in other words an ATOMIC BOMB!

Iran is really not viewed as a friendly country by ARAB states except for Syria and formerly Libya. It continued subterfuge in misleading the world about its nuclear power ambitions is not lost on Israel, the US and Western countries. Russia and China are the two irresponsible world powers which encouraged and still encourages Iran in providing under the table scientific and military support. In fact Russia has provided the latest anti-aircraft missile systtem to Iran.

We will not be surprised if Israel, alone if necessary , do a long range military operation to shutdown the nuclear capability of Iran. Iranian leaders have long targeted Israel for destruction! Their antisemitic cries are actually a smokescreen for envy and jealousy that Islamic countries have against Israel in science, technology, culture and commerce. For too long, Iran with the connivance of Russia and China has issued false hopes that it only continue to pursue peaceful uses for nuclear power. The stories of Fukushima and Chernobyl are lost and forgotten by Iran.

We are afraid we may witness the tragedy of those who play with fire will be consumed by fire.
